Review by hotel critic
Review of Sunset HotelDuring my visit to the Sunset Hotel, I found myself assessing the fine line between luxury and value. Priced as a four-star all-inclusive, my experience suggested otherwise. The room, while spacious, lacked essential touches - free toiletries were minimal, and the flat-screen TV felt neglected amid a dated decor. Dining options failed to impress, with a limited menu that led us to seek meals elsewhere, negatively impacting the overall all-inclusive value. The bar lounge offered drinks, but the limited availability and lackluster service further compromised our experience. The swimming pool provided a serene escape, although the overall atmosphere felt far from luxurious, with staff often indifferent to guest concerns - a behaviour particularly troubling given the service expectations at a supposed upscale establishment. While the location may appeal to some, potential guests would be wise to weigh the costs against the experiences offered. The Sunset Hotel may not reflect the luxury often associated with its price tag.
